Beauty is Just the Way You Are

I asked some of my friends why they are wearing makeup and here are their answers:

"To gain confidence, to look attractive, to look pleasant in the eyes of other people."

"It makes me feel fresh and look attractive."

"I wear it because I'm too pale if I don't have it."

"I wear makeup sometimes because I want to change the others perspective about me."

"I wear makeup to look not so pale and to enhance my beautiful face."

Throughout the history about the makeup, the beauty is very different from the modern beauty. Who would believe during Ancient Greece "Unibrow" considered as beauty, this time when the eyebrows are thick, not unibrow it must be shaved to look beautiful. Today when it comes to large forehead we call it airport, but during Elizabethan Era large forehead considered beautiful.

I don't know why society thinks that eyeglasses, thick eyebrows and braces will make you feel ugly. (Is this in real life or it's just only in some stories that I read?)  I find people cute when they are wearing eyeglasses. Thick eyebrows? I'm having a girl crush when she has thick eyebrows like Lily Collins she is my number one girl crush. (I have thick eyebrows and I wish it were thicker)  Braces? It is attractive for me.

Eventually, today's beauty may not be considered in the future, it's just a cycle the trends before can become trends today. You don't need to follow the trends to look beautiful or feel beautiful, but if that's you there's nothing wrong with that. Remember this, no matter what beauty are considered, you will always be beautiful just the way you are.

I really love this song by Backstreet Boys calls "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)
